Tropical Oasis Suite | Kylie's Demonstrator Training Blog Hop January 2020

Welcome!!  I am so excited that it is time for Kylie's Demonstrator Training Monthly Blog Hop again!  Today I was inspired by a fun fold card that Erica Cerwin recently made on a Facebook Live.  Really cool layout!

I used the beautiful new Tropical Oasis Suite from the January-June 2020 Mini catalog.  This suite lends itself well to this fun fold layout.

Product List

Here's how I made this card:
  • The card base is a 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock
  • The next layer is a 3-1/4" x 10" piece of Grapefruit Grove cardstock, scored at 5"
  • Cut a 3-1/8" x 4-3/4" piece of Tropical Oasis Designer Series paper and adhere it to the front of the Grapefruit Grove layer
  • Cut a 1-1/4" x 4-3/4" piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock and emboss it using the Coastal Weave 3D Embossing Folder.  Score it at 1" and adhere the 1" flap to the back of the Grapefruit Grove layer and fold it over the the front of the Grapefruit Grove layer
  • Adhere the Grapefruit Grove layer onto the Pretty Peacock card base
  • Stamp the large flower onto Whisper White cardstock using the Grapefruit Grove Classic Stamp Pad and die cut it using the In The Tropics large flower die
  • Stamp the small flowers onto Grapefruit Grove and So Saffron cardstock using Versamark ink and emboss the flowers with White Stampin' Emboss Powder and heat set them.  Die cut them out using the the In The Tropics small flower die
  • Die cut 3 leaves using Pretty Peacock cardstock
  • Adhere the 3 flowers together, glue the leaves to the flowers, and adhere the flowers/leaves to the 1-1/4" flap being careful to place the Stampin' Dimensionals onto the flap only.  Add some Pearl Basic Jewels to the flowers
  • Stamp an additional large and small flower using Versamark ink onto Grapefruit Grove cardstock and heat emboss them using White Stampin' Emboss Powder.  Heat emboss them using White Stampin' Emboss Powder.  Stamp a small flower using So Saffron ink onto Whisper White cardstock.  Die cut the flowers out and adhere them to the inside of the 1-1/4" flap to cover the back of the flowers originally glued to the front of the flap
  • Stamp the sentiment onto a 3/4" x 2" piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock using Versamark ink and White Stampin' Emboss Powder, heat set it and adhere it to the lower left side of the Grapefruit Grove/DSP card layer
  • Stamp the sentiment and the pineapple onto the inside of the card using Pretty Peacock ink
